EVM Compatibility
Alongside its native Substrate runtime, AETRON includes a fully EVM-compatible execution layer, the same kind used by Ethereum and other major networks. This means the chain runs Ethereum smart contracts directly, in addition to AETRON's own AI verification logic.
Run Ethereum Contracts As-Is
Any smart contract written for the EVM works on AETRON without rewriting:
- DEX protocols, lending platforms, stablecoins, derivatives.
- Token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155.
- NFT marketplaces and liquidity-management tools.
Any team with Solidity experience can build on AETRON using familiar tools, with no need to learn a new contract language or platform.
Connecting
Ethereum JSON-RPC is served from the same host as the Substrate RPC, so MetaMask, ethers, viem, Hardhat and Foundry need no adapter.

One detail catches people out. The native chain holds balances in 9 decimals, the EVM in 18, and the runtime scales between the two. The same account therefore reports different numbers depending on which side you ask, and a contract that hardcodes 18 decimals for a native transfer will be off by a factor of a billion if it is also read from the Substrate side. One Chain for Finance and AI
The important part is not just that EVM contracts run, but that they run on the same chain as the AI services, rather than across bridges between separate networks. This puts two layers side by side:
- A DeFi layer of the same class deployed on Ethereum: exchanges, lending, stablecoins, and liquid staking.
- An AIfi layer: financial instruments built on top of verifiable AI. Because Proof of Intelligence makes AI work provable on chain, contracts can act on that proof directly, with no oracles or trusted intermediaries.
Examples of what the AIfi layer makes possible include tokenized Neuronets that trade as on-chain assets, insurance on AI computations that pays out automatically on a proven model error, prediction markets on AI-service metrics, and index products over a pool of Neuronets.
